If you’ve been following our latest articles, you may have already been converted into a Keds fan. We covered its story, why Keds sneakers are so comfortable, what makes Keds a pretty good (and affordable!) brand, and reviewed some of its top collaborations with Taylor Swift and others.
They also fared pretty well when compared against Converse, the king of low-top sneakers. Not too bad for such a low-key company, eh?
Speaking of collaborations…It’s no secret that the Kate Spade collab is one of my favorites. I’m a huge fan of exchanging high heels for glittery sneakers to avoid tripping around and hurting my feet after a long night of dancing.
With these party-ready Keds, you’ll suffer neither of those things. So, it was only a matter of time before I got down to writing a review of my top 5 favorite Keds models. Let’s get started.
Contents
#1. Keds Champion Kate Spade Glitter Sneaker
What makes it cool: My absolute favorite model is the Kate Spade glitter Keds. The beautiful and delicate pink glitter and satin ribbon laces make this sneaker princess-worthy.
Who is it best for: Girly girls. Anyone who wants to switch out high heels for sneakers to go dancing!
Size Range: 4-11
Price Range: ($, $$, $$$): $$
Style/Aesthetic: Glitter sneaker with two sets of laces (one tonal satin ribbon and one cotton lace with foxing stripe). The sole has a thin horizontal pink stripe visible on the side. This model also comes in many colors: cream, rose gold, gold, black, silver, white, and platinum gold.
The Fit: Toes are a little tight since there is no wide option.
Comfort: Super comfortable due to Keds cushioning technology of memory foam and Ortholite insole.
Materials: Rubber sole and outsole, canvas upper covered in crushed glitter.
Flexibility: Super flexible
Heel Height: No heel
Weight: Super light
Durability: 6/10 Mainly because glitter tends to fall out over time due to grazing and rough handling (like someone stepping on your toes!).

#2. Kate Spade New York Champion Lips Sneakers
What makes it cool: The lips print. Different colored lips in different directions look cute and add a fun texture to any ensemble.
Who is it best for: Anyone who wants to add a little fun and flair to their jeans and tee combo.
Size Range: 4-11
Price Range ($, $$, $$$): $$
Style/Aesthetic: This Champion model is decorated with a print of lips in shades of pink and red over a cream canvas upper. The lacing is cream-colored as well.
The Fit: There is no wide sizing so keep that in mind.
Comfort: Super comfortable due to Keds cushioning technology of memory foam and Ortholite insole.
Materials: Rubber sole and outsole, printed canvas upper.
Flexibility: Super flexible
Heel Height: No heel
Weight: Super light
Durability: 7/10 Print might show wear a bit faster than other same-colored sneakers.

#3. Kate Spade Triple Glitter Slip-on
What makes it cool: These black sparkly Keds are perfect for a summer night out! Plus they are slip-ons, so I can totally picture them at a beach party!
Who is it best for: Anyone who wants shiny sneakers bathed in glitter but wants to skip the lacing.
Size Range: 4-11
Price Range ($, $$, $$$): $$
Style/Aesthetic: The slip-on is pretty simple. Elastic bands on the upper match the color of the glitter, while the sole is white on the black model and cream on the cream one.
The Fit: I’d say slip-on are more comfortable on wider feet, if your feet are too thin they tend to slip a bit which might make you feel like the shoe is about to go flying!
Comfort: Comfortable due to Keds cushioning technology of memory foam and Ortholite insole but to me they feel less secure without lacing.
Materials: Rubber sole and outsole, crushed glitter canvas upper.
Flexibility: Super flexible
Heel Height: No heel
Weight: Super light
Durability: 6/10 Glitter might unglue, or be lost due to grazing or tripping over things.

#4. Keds Kate Spade Crew Kick ’75 Sneaker
What makes it cool: The metallic pewter leather. Feels like such a 90s thing to wear! Or a Sex and the Thing worth shoe to romp around New York.
Who is it best for: If you are not into glitter, this leather sneaker will add just enough glam and shininess to your outfit. I pair it up with leather black pants for a total looker.
Size Range: 5-11
Price Range ($, $$, $$$): $$
Style/Aesthetic: Lace-to-toe upper adjusts the width of the metallic leather upper. A white sole matches the color of the lace. The model comes in pewter and white colors.
The Fit: The full lacing on the upper makes for a tight yet comfortable fit.
Comfort: Comfortable due to Keds cushioning technology of memory foam and Ortholite insole. They are also very comfortable for both thin and wide feet due to the ample lacing. They are also quite warmer than canvas sneakers.
Materials: Rubber sole and outsole, metallic leather upper.
Flexibility: Flexible
Heel Height: No heel
Weight: Light
Durability: 8/10 Leather will last quite a bit, plus it will also protect your toes a bit more.

#5. Keds Kate Spade Tiebreak Leather Sneaker
What makes it cool: the 3 straps. Almost like a Back to the Future model. Makes me feel so nostalgic!
Who is it best for: Someone who wants the ease of a slip-on but needs something that provides a bit more support and that will hold their feet in.
Size Range: 5-11
Price Range ($, $$, $$$): $$
Style/Aesthetic: This leather low top has a 3-strap system of hook and loop to close it on the upper. It is completely white except for the golden eyelets.
The Fit: With the security of the straps and the ease of a slip-on.
Comfort: Comfortable due to Keds cushioning technology of memory foam and Ortholite insole. The straps also secure the fit quite well, so there is no sense of maybe losing the shoe like with the slip-ons.
Materials: Synthetic sole, 100% leather upper.
Flexibility: Flexible
Heel Height: No heel
Weight: Light
Durability: 7/10 Leather is quite lasting, but the straps might show wear where they bend.
